A Little Bit about Me
This article is talking about a man who loved to play lifting so much. Since he was 13 year old he has started lifting. However, when he was graduated from high school and studied in a prestigious University in USA, he felt tired with his homework in his University life. He didn’t have time to train lifting.
Between the school work and lifting, he still chose the lifting sport. Therefore, he changed his major from communication to Premed. And then he had more time to train the lifting.
Finally, he won the weight class (lightweight) in a Bodybuilding show and was spotted by some Gym’s company. After that, he became very popular.
After reading the article, I have learned one thing from this article. When you do something which brings you so many troubles, don’t give up easily.
Sometimes, it is so easy to say something, but it is hard to do it. Therefore, if I am faced with some difficult problems, I will do my best to solve it. (183words)

Teenager survives getting hit by lightning, then wins money in the lottery
There was a magical thing happened to a girl. She was struck by lightning and went on to win US$20 in the lottery the next day. The scientists couldn’t answer the question that she was struck by lightning why she didn’t die at that time.
After reading this article, I feel that life is mysterious and profound. I am jealous with her. How lucky she was. Because luck doesn’t happen to everyone in the world, I think she would even cherish her life after undergoing such thing on him.
I am not always living in good lucky life, but I am also not living in unlucky life. In my life, sometimes, I am living in a happy condition by good luck, but sometime, I am living in bad condition by misfortune. To tell the true, I enjoy this life, because I feel some bad condition that can make me grow up. Therefore, I like to live in a general life.
If someone has much good luck around him all the time, maybe he can’t face some events which are bad. (182words)

Singaporeans jailed over kangaroo picture
On 26th May 2008, three Singaporeans who wore clothes with a picture of a kangaroo dress as a judge entered the Supreme Court. But the judge thought they ignored to despise the Supreme Court. Therefore, the three men were sentenced to between seven and fifteen days in jail by the judge. And the judge also ordered to each play court costs of NTP$ 109300.
The kangaroo court is expressed against the judicial system and no unfairness in Singapore.
Singapore is a developed nation. Their residenters have a high English grade and have a high living standard. So I think Singapore is also a democratic and free country.
However after reading this article, I feel Singapore is not a very freedom of the democracy country.
Maybe, I was born in a democratic country. Thus, I was very surprised that three men were sentenced who touched the national law. If the three men did the same thing in my city, I was sure that they were free. (170words)

Teen crowned fastest text messenger in Sweden
My Reactions:
This article is talking about the history of the text message and a girl who crowned the fastest text messenger in Sweden. She used 61 seconds to write a 141-character SMS message full of difficult-to-spell words and correct punctuation. Thus, she won 2,650 euro (NT$122,500) prize.
After reading this article, I am interested by the reward. So I want to practise how to type the text messages quickly. Maybe there is a company to take place the same activity like that someday in Taiwan.
On the other hand, do you know why the text message was invented and was set in the cell phone? Originally, the inventers created the text messages that the purpose was for helping the deaf, because they couldn’t listen to any voice.
However nowadays, the text messages are very popular by teenagers and young people for the charge is cheaper than using cell phone to call your friends and Text messages are a convenient way to send telephone numbers. (168 words)

London buses may advertise there’s probably no God
My Reactions:
It is a piece of interesting article. There is an advertisement which is affixed on the London buses. The advertisement says “People who rejected god would go to hell”
After comedy writer Ariane Sheine knew this event, he objected to the Christian adverts on some London buses. Therefore he decided to spend money on the advertisements, too. The advertisement says “There probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.”
I feel myself is very strange. Sometimes, I am happy but sometimes I am unhappy and upset. My moods are changed very often by the environment around and the things at my side. After reading this article, I feel maybe it is mode by the god to have different moods. Actually the god is very mysterious for me. Although I don’t know what time have existed the word of “god” in the world, I wish god in the world was a truth. If the god were, I could tell the god about my wish or anything what I want to talk. Obese Canadian inmate released because Big House too small
My reaction:
This article is talking about an obese prisoner who comes from Canada. He was arrested for selling drugs and was sentenced to five years in prison.
Fortunately, a judge later reduced his sentence because of the hardships for him in the prison which means that the 195kg man was claimed to have endured in the prison which was designed for smaller criminals.
I feel it is so poor for him to live in a small cell. I don’t understand why the prisoner needed to sell drugs, because it is a bad thing for people and for himself. I hope he doesn’t do it again after being released. At last, the prisoner said a sentence for the daily, ‘‘I made some mistakes and I paid for them’’ what he said is very meaningful for me.
On the other hand, people always said that too fat is not good for us. But after reading this article, I feel that too fat is not bad. Maybe sometimes it would help you like the prisoner. (180 words)

Myanmar’s cyclone
My Reactions:
Burma was a very beautiful country, but a horrible tsunami changed this place. The tsunami made the thousands of people dead and millions of people hunger.
After listening to this news, I feel so sad for what their government did. I don’t know why the Burmese government stopped the International Rescue Organization to help their people since the tsunami had happened.
When I saw the victims of a natural calamity in the pictures, I was much affected. They didn’t have any house for living, they didn’t have any meat to eat, and they didn’t have any clean water for drinking.
For the Burmese government, were their people’s lives really unimportant? In Burma, the government not only forbids them to demonstrate but also forbids them from the freedom of speech.
Comparing with Burma, I think Taiwan is a happy place compare with Burma. At last, people can talk what they want. To take about Taiwanese government is able to protect their people and prepare so many services for them. (169 words)
